MY ROLE:
(1) Screenwriter: Served as one of the two screenwriters, responsible for co-writing the script.
(2) Art Director & Executive Director: In charge of the conceptual design, storyboard creation, visual direction, dynamic previews, and final camera choreography for two major thematic scenes — “War and Peace” and “The Space Great Wall.” Also responsible for editing, compositing, and final visual directing of the “Space Great Wall” sequence.
(3) 3D Modeling and Texturing: Designed character concepts and completed modeling and texturing for multiple assets, including monsters*5, Wala general*1, Soldiers*5, Warhorse*1, and War Oxen*4.
Introduction
This 18 minutes film is a 3D dome-screen production (also developed into a VR immersive version with the same assets). It was created using advanced CG and virtual cinematography technologies. The Beijing Municipal Government made a significant investment to build the first 5D dome theater in China at the Badaling Great Wall, presenting this work as a national cultural landmark. The 5D dome theater features a 180-degree spherical screen (18 meters in diameter), 360-degree surround sound, motion-synchronized seats, and live wind effects, delivering an exceptionally immersive audiovisual experience to each audience.
